报告人简历：

Dr. Colin Farquharson got a BSc (Honours) in Geophysics from the University of Edinburgh, U.K., in 1990.Then he got his PhD from UBC, Vancouver, Canada, in 1995. Dr. Doug Oldenburg was his PhD supervisor. He stayed at UBC as a post-doc until 2005, when he moved to Memorial University where he worked first as a Research Associate. He became an Assistant Professor at Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2008, where he is now a Professor. Colin is the top scientist worldwide on EM modeling and inversions for complex 3D models. He has published numerous peer-reviewed papers in top journals of Geophysics. He is now Assistant Editor of Geophysics.
